Which fighter of the year had the best year over the last decade?

    Fair enough, but if The Ring was the only ones pushing them, they'd be doing it as a big loss to themselves and it probably wouldn't do guys like Inoue much favours.

    I think it's the TV companies such as HBO & Showtine that need to give these sensational talents like Inoue, along with Gonzalez & Estrada, the chance to shine on American TV.

    Too often they just promote C-level fighters like Broner as the next Mayweather, or Ortiz as the next De La Hoya, for a quick buck- but anyone with eyes can see the first time they watch them, they ain't.

    If you look how much money they are now making from building real talents who aren't annoying Americans with patience, i.e. Golovkin & Kovalev- I don't see why they can't do the same with the likes of Yamanaka, Gonzalez, Inoue and Estrada. :good

    Not just Ring, BWAA, TV, ESPN, more website. Fighter like Gonzalez want pennies in comparison to fighter like Andre Ward or Broner.

    I think we agree on point overall, just different angle to same thing.
