Didn't have the best natural attributes, but maximized the living **** out of what he did have, and enjoyed WAY more success than he "should" have? I say Randy Couture is one. Discuss. :hat
Forrest Griffin ? Rich Ace Franklin Think both of them are very good fighter. Weren't incredibly talented at any sort of martial art but worked hard. Franklin seems a bit harsh but he came at the right time in my opinion.
i'd say Forrest, he was a chump then had an entertaining fight with Bonnar to boist his popularity then fights with Tito, Rampage, and Shogun made him a huge name. Especially after winning the ufc belt.
Forrest is a good call. He had basically nothing but a crazy good work ethic and a highly marketable attitude/style. He picked up some very good wins over some huge names, and he even became a champion. Can't see him fighting much longer though, I wouldn't be surprised if he retired this year or next.
Forrest, in my eyes. He never hit especially hard or did anything out of the realms of just hard work, yet he excelled.
