Joe Jeannette got up 7 times from KD's to eventually stop Sam McVea in the 49th round of their legendary fight.

Do you know classic examples where fighter got up even more times and still scored a 'win'.

He didn't win but Jack Dempsey was knocked down 9 times in a round by Johnny Sudenberg , but got up to gain a draw. Still he was a coward so I don't suppose he counts?

Dampsey still got 'only' a draw, so it doesn't count here.

There must be fights with 10+ knockdowns through history of boxing.

Battling Nelson was down 9 times against Christy Williams and eventually won by a 17th round KO. His opponent was apparently down 42 times!

That was in 1915 , so I suppose you would call that part of teenaged Dempsey's prime?

Wasn't it McVea that got knocked down seven times? Jeanette tasted the canvas over 20 times right? Or have I been a gullible fool and got my sources completely wrong.

More modern - I suppose Archie Moore getting up 4 times to KO Yvon Durelle in 11 rounds is pretty damn good.
