Which fighter past / present was the most ruthless in the ring once they had their opponent
hurt and showed ferocious animal instinct until they were ko / tko ?

ike Williams just look at the beau jack fight
kid gavilan as well, although he didn't hit hard when he hurt people like Davey and turner he put on this tremendous pace and put everything into his punches until he got the tko
the most ferocious and the best finishers have to be Tyson or Duran to hard to pick between theme two
    what do you think?
just looked back at some old joe louis fights and god could he get rid of theme

Some of the best finishers changed their style after a tragedy in the ring. Griffith, Baer, Charles, etc.

The term killer instinct was coined for Dempsey. He never showed mercy and had that great urge to destroy an opponent as quickly as possible. He also had the power to back up his urge. He gets my vote.

In modern times prime Foreman gets my vote.

Past and present would have to say from what I've read Harry greb, dempsey, Johnson in his own way could be mean, Taunting opponents, Duran s up there, even Ali had his mean moments in the ring, terrell and Patterson could have vouched for that.

Ike Williams was a savage finisher, just look his fights against Jack and Gatica.
Foreman was a savage, but he wasn't a merciless guy because his opponents usually went down with just a few punches.
Leonard was one of the best finishers in boxing history, his look was deceiving, but he wouldn't let you escape if you were hurt.
Ray Mercer was brutal and would punch you until you couldn't get up.
Nigel Benn and Gerald McClellan were savages and they showed that to each other until the tragedy.
Joe Louis was cold blooded killer.
Chavez sometimes enjoyed the punishment he put on his opponents.
Tyson could be brutal went he was focused, a prime Tyson was just scary a thing that he learned from Dempsey and Liston, two mean guys.
But for me, no one has ever been as savage in the ring, as Roberto Duran, he seemed to get angry when he was punched and he would go and punch you everywhere until you couldn't get up.

Plenty. Hearns, Duran, Liston, Tyson, Chavez, Arguello, R.Robinson. Hagler, Marciano, R.Leonard. Louis, W.Gomez. Those and many other fighters usually ended the fight, usually in spectacular fashion once they hurt their opponents.

James Butler who in 2004 was arrested for the murder of Sam Kellerman with a hammer and
then torched his house. Richard Grant after this sucker punch received 26 stitches , a dislocated
    jaw and lacerated tongue.
