In "modern times", Wilfredo Gomez at Super bantam was ferocious....because he usually had a physical advantage on his opponent and fought a lot of his title fghts in PR; or Roberto Duran at Lightweight: example, after brutally k.o.-ing Ray Lampkin, Duran states in the ring: "Next time we fight, he goes to the morgue".

Brandon Cook has just beaten Butler by 7th round stoppage. One patron reported to be Butler
brother in law threw a metal bucket into the ring which smashed into Cook's head. The brother
in law is still in jail for this and Cook plans to press charges.
Fight was in Canada 28 Jan 2017

Roberto Duran, Dwight Qawi and Terry Norris were among the meanest and most sadistic fighters I've seen in the ring. Like they really relished beating up their opponents, more than most fighters do.
