Not exactly. Douglas used that as motivation. He promised herhe'd win and he was hungry. Meanwhile, Tyson had already achieved everything, his motivation was nowhere near Douglas's.

    You **** off.

This. A Rooney led Tyson sees Douglas knocked out in 6. Max. Hell an u focused untrained shell of Tyson beat him in 8 with a crap corner. The count was 13 seconds.

If Tyson had Rooney as his trainer pre prison heat beats Holyfield. Not many would beat a prime Tyson with proper coaching.

So Douglas manned up and use turmoils as the fuel, while Mike crumbled under the pressure. Shows that he was mentally fragile. Every fighter goes through hardships. Only the best don't let them affect their performances.

And what prevented him from beating Ferguson? His grandfather's death?

If he has two guys fighting for years, one of whom is a 42-1 favorite and loses, then either the fight was a fluke or their entire careers were a fake. So what were the fake in Douglas and Tyson's careers?

You’re delusional. Plenty of guys beat Tyson, including most of that list.

Not exactly, it happened in two, but Tyson's form in those fights is a matter of debate and is not an excuse at all. Tyson had a huge hype during his second career, but he didn't fight a single serious fight. His mental problems were a fact, he was on antidepressants, and he did nothing in the ring other than stir up fear and controversy. His fight against the unprepared Botha, who won Mike four rounds in a row, is very telling; no one came close in the 1980s. It's hard to assume that an out-of-shape Frans was better than Biggs, Berbick, Thomas, Tucker, Ruddock, Williams, Holmes, etc. People point out Tyson's relatively young age, but if you're struggling with addiction and aren't interested in boxing, age doesn't matter. Regards.

Peak Tyson for me was Ribalta to Holmes inclusive. Biggs was one of the most terrifying heavyweight performances I've seen, surgical, controlled, arrogant malevolence. Breathtaking.

No I'm not. Tyson was that good.

Nope. The following boxers might beat him, but it's not a given: Liston, Lewis, Wlad, Vitali.

Foreman takes him out with one shot.

No boxer in history has had more excuses made for him than Mike Tyson. It’s embarrassing.
