Biggs fought a better version of Tyson than Bruno did.

Ruddock only used his lead arm vs Tyson and Bruno was quite fragile, not tough at all.

Interested in your reasoning. After Biggs Tyson was awesome in stopping a canny Larry Holmes, then he blew out Tony Tubbs and after that he had his signature win over Spinks. Bruno was next up. This is a mere 14 months later. If anything Tyson might have been on the improve still at this point even if it did go south pretty quick thereafter.

I can only imagine you are going to say it was his first fight without Rooney.

Truth be told Bruno could have went all Hollywood when Tyson hit him on the ground and probably won the fight.

Tyson was all over the place against Bruno, he was head hunting, all he did well was start lowering his head levels and finishing him well at the end, but Tyson always fought out of a crouch, here he was bolt upright and very easy to hit, Tyson showed amazing defense against Biggs, all he could be hit with was uppercuts and Bruno didn`t throw any, that hook Bruno caught Tyson with would never have landed while Mike was at his best, his body had lost a lot of it`s vim also, it looked the same vs Douglas, he was on the way down and never fullfilled his potential, Bruno is just a sad footnote in Tyson`s career, of where it all started going wrong.

Bruno could fight Tyson 12x and he'd still be lucky to make it to the 8th round. It's the wrong style for Frank. The best thing he can do is hang in there until he gets clipped. But he's going to get clipped.

You might be understating Bruno's effort. Bruno was a big powerful man and he came to fight unlike plenty of others. Bruno threw numerous power punches in that first round and made Tyson struggle somewhat as well as hurting him. I think some credit should go to Bruno. Tyson may or may not have been a bit sloppy but it certainly wasn't night and day from his previous efforts.

Bruno often moved back into Tyson and took his room away and also let his hands go when Tyson was in punching range. Biggs by contrast was always trying to box and move which enabled Tyson to get into his forward march and dictate. Of course his defense looked much better against a guy looking to move. Totally different intangibles.

Tyson didn't always fight out of a crouch, he was often upright. He liked to go under out of harms way but he hardly stayed low all the time.

Ok, I lived thru the Era, yes Ruddock primarily fought with one hand, but he was the most avoided HW in the very early 90’s because that left hook would put you to sleep!! Tyson beat a monster in Ruddock in my opinion.. Ruddock fell in love with his power after highlight reel knockouts of Dokes and Smith (two very durable former belt holders)

I also disagree on Bruno, he was tough, he had a shakey chin but the dude had STONES. Tyson pummeled him for damn near the entire 5th round before stopping him. He was well in Front of Lewis after 7 before getting caught yet he once again stayed on his feet because he was TOUGH!! His problem again was his chin he’d basically get put out while sagging on the ropes. But to say the guy isn’t tough just isn’t accurate.
