    I think booby gunn has done well to get 2 world title shots, he must of got at least 60 thousand dollars for each fight. TO MAKE THIS THREAD A BIT INTRESTING NO PAST OR PRESENT WORLD CHAMPIONS INCLUDED

    I agree that Gunn is amongst the worst title challengers since i've been watching boxing. A real disgrace. Average club fighter on his best day.

    Butterbean? Laila Ali? Mia St. John? Each of these were popular for reasons other than boxing talent. I'd imagine they made quite a bit of money.

    he can't be getting paid ****. I mean Arum has to pay Pavlik and Soto. This isn't going to get many PPV buys at all. So the opponents and undercard will get chicken scratch.

    $25-30k? Maybe. I'm guessing but obviously he is nowhere near 100k and i couldn't imagine 60k.

    There is still a huge disparity between his talent and income.

    keep fighters like mayorga out of this, who was world class in his prime, were looking more at the bobby gunns, mathew hatton chavez jr type of fighters

    Gerry Cooney, c'mon. 20 Mill or something like that when he fought Larry Holmes and he was a piece of ****. Just so happened he was a white piece of **** in the heavy weight division.
