Consider Mayweather's status as a boxing great and his celebrity status. He's quite similar in some respects to Oscar when he was at the top of his game. That said, he's getting old. I've been following this sport closely since the 80's and it always been out with the old and in with the new.

In today's boxing landscape we have a few young guys who have the potential to be great fighters. Guys like Canelo, Broner, Rios, Gamboa, Trout, Bradley, Thurman, Russell Jr. If I'm forgetting anyone you can throw his name in the conversation. Question is which one of these fighters would benefit the most from beating Mayweather?

Vitali doesn't have an ATG win on his resume.

    Broner, obviously.

He has the least flaws in his game, but he still needs to work on ring generalship and movement if he wants to reach the next level.

That way, he can be like Hopkins and not duck anyone like a coward ass *****.

Mayweather is not at Hopkins level cuz he don't have the foot movement. He was too scared to fight Canelo because Canelo would knock him out in the corner or against the ropes.

    That's why he's ascared.

Ghost is in a great position, should he win. He's personable, has a great story, and often uses a fan friendly style in the ring. I big win over Floyd could push him thismuchcloser to being a major player in boxing.

Even in the division he made his name in, CW, his resume is actually rather thin.

A win over Mayweather is equal value no matter who gets it, as long as it's at WW. It would lessen with value at 154, and significantly lessen at 160. Otherwise, it's no better if Pacman does it than it would be if Guerrero does it.

The proper answer would be strawweight champion Mario Rodriguez, as he would be coming up the most divisions to accomplish the feat.

    Financially, either Canelo or Broner.

I assumed you were taking the **** on this one. But oddly enough, a LOT here think Haye's CW run was something for the record books.

I'll say Trout. He doesn't have the style or personality to generate a ton of interest on his own. But, if he beat Canelo and Mayweather that makes him the undisputed best thing going. Financially, it would be a boon.
