Wlad - his warrior mentality is a throwback to the days of Marciano and Dempsey.

James Toney. but Hopkins or Johnson are good picks too.

Spinks belongs to track and field.

I would say James Toney south of heavyweight, Glencoffe Johnson and Bernard Hopkins are both pretty throwback.

Bernard facing Pavlik would be equivalent to James stepping up against the Klitschko brothers, which will never happend.. ofcourse it's a whole different ballgame with the heavyweights.

James Toney would've gotten my vote had it not been for steroids, and his inability to back up his foul mouth against the Klitschkos.

I'd go with Hopkins first and Johnson second, particularly if you consider taking excellent care of your body a throw back characteristic.

I would say toney and Bhop. But the old fighters used to stay in shape between fights and show the discipline to do so, so I'll go with BHOP

Hopkins. He stays in shape, is constantly sharpening his skills and in his younger years would take on anyone. Why is Spinks in the poll?
