Yeah, except he never did lose, because no matter what anyone threw at him, or for how long, he soaked it up, came back and punished them.

He doesn't have any wins where the other guy clearly got robbed, he doesn't have any disputed victories, no bull**** stoppages.

He trained HARD, EVERY time out, and he fought hard, every time out. He didn't go into a shell if the other guy popped him with a jab all night long, he never gave up, he never doubted his ability to drop any man if he got him with the right shot.

Many, MANY fighters would have lost several of his fights. He just about got shut out against Walcott, but sparked that ass in the 13th round out of nowhere. Most fighters would have given up before that and just gone through the motions the last four-five rounds.

When Ezzard Charles split his nose in half, Rocky turned up the heat and won.

He faced the right challengers and beat every man who was put in front of him. And they all knew it too.

He is a top-10, because there is no blueprint on how to beat Rocky Marciano. All you can say is, "keep jabbing him and keep away from him, and do that every minute of every round." Everyone tried that though, and not one of them got away with it.

Nobody got robbed of a decision against him, and nobody ever even came close to stopping him. He is a top-10 ATG.

Eubank and Lacey were geniune SuperMiddles. DLH and Trinidad were welters coming up. The only time Hopkins faced a genuine live threat he lost eg Jones, Taylor. Plus Hopkins had plenty of chances to fight Calzaghe, but was always making excuses. I agree that Calzaghe's record could do with some better names on it, but for the most part it's been other good fighters reluctance to face him. And when one finally had the bottle to do so(Lacey) look what happened!!

Marciano got his face beat in practically every time he fought- i don't care, he might as well have lost. When you take that much damage you might as well consider it a loss, because your not that great if you get hit that much. Although I have to give him a hats off in the heart department.

Vitali. Even if he gets by McCline, it would be nice to see him sent back into retirement. He is so overrated its not even funny. I would never imagine a fighter could get so much hype in a loss to the champ while the champ wasn't even 100%

Mesi too because ever since his return his fights amount to ****. He is only prolonging a severe KO loss and permanent damage. I'd like to see him starched in one round for his own good.

Maywether. More than anyone ever. Second for me is Jermain Taylor- He has the worst attitude of any ring-recognized champion I've ever heard.

Joe was very keen to fight Roy at one stage, but Warren said Jones was impossible to do business with. Agreed that Lacey's record wasn't that of an all time great , but it was more the MANNER of his victories that made him feared. he literally ran over opponents like a truck!!

Hopkins has had chances to fight Joe but always turned them down. The latest to turn Joe down was Taylor who demanded $10million which is effectively saying 'no thanks'. Hopkins most recently, said he wouldn't fight Joe because he was retired, then promptly unretired, and jumped from Middleweight right to Light Heavy, missing out the SuperMiddleweight division to fight Tarver,TARVER of all people. I can't believe that anyone on here, regardless of allegiance, would rather watch Hopkins/Tarver than Hopkins/Calzaghe

He beat Nard twice, fought Winky to a draw, he would have beaten Mora had he not backed out, and now he's fighting the man who everyone is saying will whoop his ass. I wish more people had Taylor's attitude.
