You need a bunch of things all combined to be able to pull this off

    1. Freakish p4p strength- This eliminated a lot of people

    2. A granite chin- This eliminates a lot of people

    3. Serious power in both mitts and ability to put fast combinations together- This eliminates a lot of people

    4. Extremely high workrate and toughness to be able to survive the championship rounds and match the output against human buzzsaw that won't stop throwing atomic bombs at you. This eliminates a lot of people.

    5. Intelligence- PICK YOUR SPOTS WISELY.

I think in the end...your left with 1 or maybe 2 guys. I would put Jack Dempsey on there. Can't really think of anyone else. Maybe Sam Langford. He deserves an honorable mention.

Langford, Walker, Greb, Ketchel, Fitz, Robinson, and a few others may pull it off.

    Langford- Maybe

Walker- NO WAY. Did you see how badly he got bullied around the ring by Max Schmeling? The toy bulldog is nowhere near strong or durable enough for Rocky Marciano, and he doesn't have the power to keep Marciano off of him.

Greb- Doesn't have the power to keep Marciano off of him. He would get battered.

Ketchel- Actually has the power, speed, strength, and toughness. However, he lacks the durability to take Marciano's best stuff. He will get iced at some point.

Fitz- Lacks the durability and dare i say skill? low hands with no upperbody movement against Marciano = kiss of death. Fitz would take a serious beating until finally being stopped.

Robinson- Lacks the strength, durability, and I have doubts whether Robinson at 155lb could even stun Marciano with his best punch. This fight would end ugly.

Max Kellerman said it best after Jones Jr won the heavyweight title from Ruiz and said about a Marciano Robinson match.
"Robinson was too fast and Marcaino was too slow"

A young Holyfield , i know the first and second Qawi fight he is 186 and 187 but he would do a decent job of scrapping with Marciano.

Robinson would not match up to Marciano. The weight difference is too much.

    Kellerman is a quack. :good

You really think Sugary Ray Robinson could do something Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, and Joe Louis couldn't do? Robinson would have gone 0-6 against even those versions.

I think both the middleweight Monzon and Hagler match up better against Marciano and i wouldnt give them a chance, not even the slightest.

Holyfield does not count. He was above 185lb.

Also think Tom Sharkey could pull it off too.
