Ok im not one to aurotmatcally go witth te old timers,,as far as HTH matchups,,, In fact on another thread , some posters had a fit , while another one thought i was some Newb fron the general that never heard of Ketchel ..

By the time Marcianos era came areound , Boxing had petty miuch, evolved into the Sweet Science and techiique wise better than it was ever gonna get ,, Well in u some ways :think (another threa).

I would actually pick a number of legit size hws to beat ROck over5 the last 40 oto 50 yrs... BUT AT UDER 200LBS hes a beast.. THees a number of Lh and smaler guys that woul win a nmcer of early rounds.. BUt Style wise Hol.yfield and Spinks are the nly ones that would could pull this off,,,,..

I also think Floyd pAtterson and Qu arrry have a good shot...

As for hose othe gys beatin

Agreed... Toney was caught by Jones, but a little off balance too.... Toney was not hurt by the shot / knockdown...

Toney , as drained as he was , was not even properly caught by Jones , he just tried to emulate Jones' showboating which caused it.
Jones could never even properly catch a drained Toney , but he could be caught himself if Toney was in shape.

Charles, Moore and Walcott are not far better than Toney.....

Marciano is hard to gauge for me, on the one hand he was a nightmare stylistically and relentless. On the other, for all of his supposed power he took a good while to break people down. He was also slow, which is a big deal against certain styles. I think people get a touch carried away.

You are getting a bit preoccupied with power, if you get beat to the punch, you have to reset, regardless of whether it's sledgehammer power.
