As in, they took up promoting/another sport/done well in business/became a teacher etc.

You hear all too often about fighters being lost and bored in retirement, but which fighters seemed to keep busy?

Oscar is a great example. It's as if he has never been out of the game.

Same with Hopkins. RJJ is also another due to his commentary commitments.

To the surprise of everyone on Earth, Mike Tyson took retirement the best of any fighter.

It's truly one of the biggest shocks in sport's history. 20 years ago, about 99% of people thought Mike would end up dead or in prison post-boxing.

Instead, this guy is putting out the best social media content of any athlete and became one of the world's most beloved celebrities.

Agree 100% Tyson's growth with maturity is one of the greatest stories in
boxing history. Also Marvin Hagler, resisting temptation of fighting to long,
and is a very happy man in Italy.

Big George Foreman ... in both retirements.

He disappeared from the heavyweight scene after the Jimmy Ellis fight when he believed he’d seen God (others said it was just the heat/dehydration, but GF believed it and acted upon it) and ended up an obscure preacher ... ballooning up to 350 or 400 pounds and doing his preaching thing far from the spotlight and never turning back until ...

He believes he’s called back to the ring and he goes about it as if he’s starting over, fighting nobodies and journeymen (in obscurity) and gradually upping the ante to become a contender and a title challenger and finally a champion.

Does the grill thing, makes about $100M on that deal and when he retires from boxing he goes into commentary for HBO and then becomes a kind of goofy, fun elder statesman who interacts with fans on Twitter.
