Which Fighters always had disastrous or Great preparation

Duran was well over 200 lbs. after he beat Leonard the first time. Leonard knew this and offered him a shitload of money for a rematch knowing he would struggle to make weight(Leonard even admiitted as much). Duran had to struggled big time to make weight and was in relatively terrible condition during that fight. It's Duran's own fault for getting that out of shape, but he did struggle to make weight for the Leonard rematch.

 

Ray would have beaten him anyway. Compare Ray for the first and second fight and see if Duran is fighting differently and if Ray is , and it is Ray on his toes in the second fight. The excuse of over 200 pounds is outrageous and only Duran would get people to buy it, and anyway that should put to rest any argument that Duran is the small little 135 pound fighter. When Hearns fought Andries in 1987 at 175 pounds, he said he had to eat all the time just to make weight. So Duran weighed more naturally in 1980 than Hearns in 1987? Any other guy makes excuses like Duran most people do not listen. The winner gets the credit. When Moore fought Duran in 1983 no one bought his real excuse that he had dental surgery days before the fight. For Hearns and Benitez , Roberto was out of shape again? Against that caliber? The excuses are an insult on those great legends who beat him. Just excuses. Typical for Duran. He always made excuses when he lost.

 

I remember an interview with Holyfield back in the day, where Evander stated that he was at 3% body fat. I have never seen training footage of Holyfield, but he always seemed to be in shape. If he truly was at 3% body fat, I'd say that the man trained his ass off.
