Can you name the fighter whose career was most affected by questionable decisions by judges?

There are lots of Ken Norton and Jimmy Young fans here...welcome aboard!

But what about Jesse Burnett, Fres Oquendo, Yaqui Lopez, Glen Johnson, Jersey Joe Walcott, Andrew Golota, and Marvin Hagler? Plus I'm sure there are lots of old-timers that I can't think of right this second.

Also, what about Oscar de la Hoya? He won three fights controversially (Whitaker, Quartey, Sturm) but also lost three (Mosley twice, Trinidad). Do these losses even things out for him? Should he have more losses or victories out of these six fights?

Anyway, your thoughts, gentlemen, on guys who lost debateable decisions and who was most affected by it.

Hagler's legacy was affected big time by that one decision with Leonard. Had he beaten Leonard, that means he beat 3 legends. But he lost to the guy who was inactive and what most people think is the weakest puncher of the 3.

Do you agree with the decision? I thought Marvin won it by a couple points.

Ali , Holmes , Norton , Reggie Johnson , Sanderline Williams , Eubanks , Steve Collins , Montell Griffin , Eric Harding , Chad Dawson , Glen Johnson really , many others really.

    To a lesser degree Holyfield had his Bowe #2 , Lewis 1,2 , Moorer #1 .

    Foreman.

When Ali knocked him down, he clearly was up before the end of the count, and was clear-headed & ready to fight, but the ref called it anyway. Imagine if George had gone on to win, which would have been the likely outcome....

Yes, he was loudly protesting about the stoppage and had to be restrained from going after Ali.:patsch
Back to topic ,I think Larry Holmes rep would have been improved if he had beaten Marciano's record and got the nod against Spinks. Floyd v Ellis ?

Many questionable decisions : Steve Collins *2 (only case that he might have been the victim of a questionable decision) , Carl Thompson #1 , Ray Close , Watson #1 , probably more

Holyfield even had a questionable fight and stoppage vs Cooper.
    Moorer too (vs Cooper.).
Fights / stoppages like these don't count for me.
Louis had at least 2 of these : "Walcott" #2 , Buddy Baer #1.
Louis also got a robbery decision over "Walcott".

Wins over Trinidad and Mosley 2 would have been huge on DLH's resume - and in my opinion he won them. I thought all of his other contentious decision were called correctly barring the Sturm fight which I think he clearly lost.

Add Maywether in as well (though I never thought of it as particularly controversial). He had more close top-level fights than anyone I can think of.
