Hey, Elite. You should read my thread about how Tyson would do against Ali's opposition and vice versa. I think you would be pleasantly surprised, in parts at least.
Sure, I'm just messing with you. But I think you know as well as I do that Ali's not a bad man. He has his dark sides like all others, but he has renounced the racist teachings of the early days of Nation of Islam long ago. Anyway, this forum is for judging them as fighters not as human beings. SRR wasn't the greatest human being p4p, that was for damn sure. Seriously, Elite, check out my thread. I would like to hear your opinion.
I dont wanna get into any debates about racism, but im a Tyson fan, a ig 1, and Ali was greater, i dont think the point is too debatable
............Before I joined this place and began watching youtube stuff, obtaining fights fom other members, etc., I would happily have talked about Ali or Marciano or Louis or Tyson. Now I find myself repelled by the very thought of any heavyweight. Total overkill on the man love here for heavyweights. It's kinda sickening. Some here talk of absolutely nothing else.
Couldn't agree more with your sentiments Sal. I feel disappointed sometimes when I jump on the classic forum to see 15 threads in a row dedicated to heavyweights. But to each their own, if people want to talk about heavyweights it's their prerogative, but I tune out fairly quickly and hardly ever follow up on heavyweight debates.
Yeah i agree as well I was burned out on the heavyweights years ago. Fair play to anyone who still has enthusiasm for them but there is only so many times you can go over the same old Holmes\Ali\Tyson debates.
:dead Tyson: "I knocked the **** out of my wife every night". You: "You didn't Mike, that wasn't you in there". Tyson: "Don't talk with your mouth full, junior".
My choice too. I still like him but the fanboys are even more embarrassing than the "Mike just needs a hug" gobshites.
Cosell: "You're being extremely truculent." Ali: "Whatever 'truculent' means, if that's good, I'm that."
I loved Tyson, in fact I still do and found him to be incredibly underrated by the general population and so called experts. But since joining here, I find he is kinda overrated by a lot of people. Oh and Joe Calzaghe. I still really like him, but the amount of fanboys in the general forum is ridiculous.
Ali was either a racist, or naive and incredibly stupid to join with a bogus group like the Black Muslims (nation of islam my ass). That's not saying Mike Tyson was the greatest heavyweight champion, I think you're all forgetting Lennox Lewis, who had a very good chance of beating Ali.
