ESB hasn't affected anything regarding fighters i really liked, but some lineball fighters have lost a bit of lustre.

On the flipside fighters like Leonard, Tyson and co have moved up a notch for me due to much bias against them.

Forget about the Joe Calzaghe fanboys for just a minue. I saw the Calzaghe-Lacy fight on ESPNC a few nights ago for the first time, and regardless of what you may think about JC'S place overall in the big picture, that WAS an amazing performance over a guy that so many of the all-wise experts and fans alike thought would just roll over him. I've rarely seen a guy so totally master an opponent with his spedd and so effortlessly hit a guy ALL OVER-head and body since Ali punished Terrell. You almost felt sorry for Lacy, like he was being tortured and humiliated. As for being a "slapper", well maybe that's a good thing, because he would have killed poor Jeff if his punches were much harder. Being a light puncher wasn't held against Ali after all, I seem to remember that was said to be not important to Ali's many nuthugging minions.

I actually see the Lacy performance as being vastly underrated, people forget Jeff was meant to be the next big thing and he was meant to stop Joe early.

Same here, with Leonard that is, not Tyson (whom I dislike. End of chat.) Obviously like most wee nippers I liked Leonard in the early 80s, then I started hating him from Lalonde onwards. But i've adopted him in the great Revolver/Rooster battles. :good

Hahaha, fair comments mate. I used to despise him for not rematching Hearns, good reasons or not. I then hated him more for fighting Hearns when Tommy seemingly had nothing left. There'in lay his biggest problem, he's beaten most everyone's fave or next to fave fighter. Between Duran, Hearns, Benitez and Halgar he's sure done some damage.

Infact, I would say I have appreciated Leonard more since posting on the classic as I have done since I joined.

If somebody moved up or down for me, it had nothing to do with ESB forum. Too little facts and research, and too much subjective opinions.
