Kessler-Froch: I've always loved Kessler in this match-up and his loss to Ward hasn't changed my opinion. Froch is a sucker for a strong jab and a good one-two. That just happens to be Kesslers best two punches. I expect a dominating victory for Mikkel.

Ward-Green: I favour Ward heavily in this fight. He can fight numerous different ways and seems capable of adapting to whatever style he's faced with. Of all these fights, I think Ward will be the fighter who comes through easiest. Even though I expect Froch to be dominated, he has the strength and determination to make Kessler uncomfortable in spells - I just don't think Green has anything to overly concern Ward.

Abraham-Dirrell: This one I'm not sure about. It's easy to think that since Abraham is better than Froch, he can beat Dirrell by using a more refined and effective style of pressure fighting. Dirrell didn't look happy being forced into a tough fight and it's possible, once AA starts landing leather, he retreats to within himself again and loses (without controversy this time).

On the other hand, I think the Froch loss could be the best thing that ever happened to him. He should realise that to win a world title, you can't just land a few clean punches and spend the rest of the time looking like you'd rather be anywhere else, and expect the judges to give you the nod. He may well have deserved the decision but losing might be better for him in the long run. He clearly has the talent to beat most fighters and if he uses his speed and reflexes to get into good punching positions (the way Sweet Pea did) he can win this one.

something like 30% of the board went for Ward if I remember well. Not less than 25%.

I thought Ward had a good chance of winning a decision. Really felt either guy could win. Ward impressed me but definately not a big shock.

I can't be 100% sure, but I think you are wrong. As my memory serves me I can think of very few posters who even gave Ward a chance. Everyone was tipping Kessler to win the whole thing. It's strange how perceptions change AFTER we know the result. Just human nature I guess

    True

That was the case too with Froch who was supposed to walk trough Dirrell without even breaking a sweat. This is why Froch vs Kessler is intriguing, both were supposed to get past super6 first round pretty easily, they now have something to prove to themselves. This will be a war.

I think Abraham is too strong for Dirrell and Kessler has yet to beat an unorthodox fighter with skill. Andre Ward wins a UD.

I hope Kessler KTFO Froch and that Froch's hot girl is in view of the camera. Also hope Dirrell pulls of the upset. I like the kid and want to see the USA on top.

I remember quite a few people picking Ward over Kessler.

Yes there were a few, but a very small minority I'm sure.

It's funny how opinions chan ge so fast though. Before Round One most people had Kessler down to win the whole thing, now most seem to think he'll be 0-2 after round two

I'm quite sure it was 15%. And the reaction to Ward backers was way out of hand.

Ward will only fight in his home town. Why is that?

ward, aa, froch/kessler is a real pickem fight. in terms of skill kessler is way ahead. but he's coming from a loss, you don't know how much the ward fight took from him, and froch has never loss and probably can't see himself losing so his confidence and mental state might be better then kessler.
