Which fighters from lower divisions could beat Top 50 Heavyweights?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by iWantToLearnEng, Oct 2, 2013.

  1. There is no question, that Floyd, GGG or even Abraham would knock out Andrzej Wawrzyk but what about tougher opponents in HW? The Klitschkos are unrealistic, for sure, Wlad knows how to use his jab.

Which fighter would be the limit for Top boxers of lower divisions?

Modern day cruiserweights and LHW's would be the same size or larger than many HW greats of eras past like Marciano, Dempsey, Langford, etc.

Huck, Lebedev, Wlodarczyk, Hernandez and Chakhiev to beat Mitchell, Browne, Dimitrenko and give them 50/50 vs Adamek, Banks and Cunningham who are all top 25 on boxrec.

apart from cruisers (Who are basically HW) Id pick Stevenson, Pascal, Kovalev, Kessler, Golovkin and Froch to beat your Christian Hammer's of the T50.

Mayweather? As skilled and defensively sound as he is, he's 5'7 and walks around under 160.

5'8" Sam Langford, who fought at welterweight, defeated several HWs. So did middleweight Harry Greb.

Langford weighed just 156 when he fought the much bigger Jack Johnson for the world 'colored' heavyweight title in 1906.

Despite Wawrzyk's reputation, he wouldn't lose to those guys at HW. Although he might could lose to GGG or Abraham which is highly unlikely, he'd be absolutely too much for Floyd.

I'm sure that Huck and a couple of other top cruisers would be able to beat some names from top 20 and even top 15 at HW.

    are you high again?

  7. No way. Wawrzyk would never be able to hit him and Floyd could easily outbox him but I see him even knocking Wawrzyk out. He has nothing to be dangerous except his weight.

Ive already told you Edmund Gerber is the worst boxer in the universe. But you insist to keep arguing with me that Wawrzyk is worse than Gerber and that is not true. Gerber's boxing skills are an insult to humanity and a disgrace to all mankind. Wawrzyk would decison Gerber. All Gerber has is decent power. Any boxer that could avoid one of his shots could win a decison. A 160 Arthur Abraham could be way too quick for concrete feet and could win a decision, and Gerber only has 3 rounds of stamina.
