I heard a story told by Max Schmelling about how at some exhibition, Jack Dempsey (older, way retired, Jack Dempsey) was to spar with him- and when the bell rang, Dempsey sprang at him like he wanted to kill him. That guy had serious, survived-life-as-a-hobo-riding-the-rails, bad intentions. After him, Sonny Liston and George F&*king Foreman .Watch those fights with Frazier. Foreman was a force of nature.
I think Tommy Hearns actually had a vicious mindset to go with his exceptional power. For a guy with a shaky chin he sure did love to mix it up.
i agrre on vic, another of the current crop is ponce de leon, crude as **** but man does he go out intent on doing damage.
Tyson and Foreman 1 come to mind. Their minside coming into the ring was all about hurting you. Recently, i would say Glen Johnson to some degree. He doesn't have the devastating power to scare his opponents but he is in your face from start to finish and won't give you an inch to breath. He comes to fight.
The two Rockies ( Mar & Graz), Sonny Liston of course, plus many of the MW's of the late 40's, 50's & 60's and Marvin Hagler. David Tua (ask 10 second John Ruiz). Earnie Shavers if he lands the big one early. Pedroza with unlimited ball shots a standard mode of operation.
sonny liston george foreman earnie shavers mike tyson julio chavez julian jackson tommy morrison roberto duran
When I watch David Haye fight, I see him looking for opportunities to KO his opponent imo...he doesnt **** around
