I think Tzsyu fought 8 southpaws! Which leads me to believe he was comfortable fighting them. Marco Antonio Barrera comes to mind for the flogging he gave the prince.

He was comfortable against any opponent who wasn't a pressure fighter. The fact that he fought 8 southpaws should be interpreted as he simply didn't avoid them as much as most fighters. Lennox Lewis comes to mind as a fighter who went out of his way to avoid southpaws...as a result, he doesn't have one on his resume.

so wlad doesnt get credit because he is so big.:patsch... so tired of bull**** like that used as a reason to not give credit when credit is due. Size or not, you have to be good to keep winning the way he does:deal

Bottom line is Wlad dominated Bryd, Iggy, Thompsaon, and Chagaev all top 10 guys or champs with well documented amature ped.

Wlad handles southpaws very very well

****... he even fought Chagaev on 2 weeks notice after getting ready for Haye for 6 weeks. (Switch to fighting a southpaw on 2 week notice) not to many can do that and be so dominate in the ring

I think the Corrie Sanders fight really bothered him. He couldn't get the chance to fight and defeat Corrie, so he did the next best thing. Took care of every other southpaw who is ranked in the division. Credit to Wlad for not staying away from southpaws like Lennox Lewis.

Wlad is the first to admit..."I underestimated Sanders"

IMO the southpaw was not the issue.... it was sanders all together and Wlad has admitted he thought it was going to be an easy win...... I can tell you, he will NEVER EVER do that again against ANY other fighter:good

Tszyu hands down. His straight right cannon was made for destroying southpaws and slick boxers in general.

I can tell...since that fight, he has taken every opponent as seriously as if he were fighting Lennox Lewis. Wlad is the man!!:good

Wlad took Chagaev on short notice and shows a master performance.

Wlad fights very good against southpaws because he is an superior technican boxer for example:

Cody Koch KO round 4, Najee Shaheed KO 1,Joseph Chinangu TKO 4, Chris Byrd UD 12, TKO 7, Ibragimov UD 12, Toney Thompson KO 11, Chagaev TKO 9.

On the flip side. . .he was completely fooled by Sanders. Every time I watch that fight it seems to me Wlad simply never saw Sanders' left.

Yep. He's actually destroyed a couple southpaws which is a good thing to know. Now i'm even more confident he will destroy DeMarco! Usually, southpaws hate fighting other southpaws. Nice to see Valero destroys them just as easily.:good
