There was a bit of blag at the time that Haye was dead at the weight and he would fade if the fight went a few rounds, I remember Haye said it was exaggerated to get Enzo in the ring before Haye moved up, give him confidence so to speak..When infact Haye was prime and could still make weight, Enzo never stood a chance !
Probably Ward/Kovalev I. I didn't see how Ward could jump up a weight class, be so inactive, and beat a p4p10 lister. The outcome of their rematch was less of a surprise. I also picked Wlad over Fury, but I don't feel foolish about it. Fury was and is my favorite boxer, and I had trouble remaining objective as I had such hopes for him.
Most recently, Chavez Jr. I told a lot of friends that the fight with Canelo could go down as an all-time classic, I really thought Chavez would put everything on the line in that fight. Apart from that I haven't gotten calls too badly wrong that I'd be looked at as "foolish". I did tell people also that Charles Martin could be an awkward opponent for Joshua and told people to bet on him in play if his jabs landed in the first round...
This. I knew Klitschko was slipping but I still thought that it could be a frustrating fight for him but that he'd still end up beating Fury down, I knew there was a possibility of an upset but I never expected what I saw with that fight. I've otherwise usually been right on, or very close to the mark.
Zab Judah Never has a fighter disappointed me as much as him. After the paulie fight in 2013, Where it looked like he just came to pick up a check, I gave up. I was done with him from then on.
Me too, I had a party round my house put the fight on got called away and it was all over by the time I got back.
I remembered thinking you'd lost your god damn mind when I saw that pick. Still, funny to look back on now!
