Which fighters in history hold the most wins over future or current hall of fame fighters that were within 5 years of their prime?

Prime: point as to which a fighter reaches his pinnacle overall skill level through a culmination of ring IQ and physical attributes which manifests in ones signature performance.

I'm going to throw out Ezzard Charles, by my count he has 18.

Moore x3, Marshall x2, Burley x2, Bivins x3(the 4th was 5 years removed from his prime), Maxim x4, Walcott x2, Joe Louis, Teddy Yarosz.

Within 5 years, are we going 2.5 years before and 2.5 years after? Or 5 years before or 5 years after? The latter takes up an awful lot of time frame.

Sugar Ray Robinson: 9 HOFers, 19 wins

Gene Fullmer (he was also robbed of a 2nd win in their 4th fight)
    Carmen Basillio
    Randy Turpin
    Jake Lamotta 5x
    Bobo Olson 4x
    Kid Gavlian 2x
    Sammy Angott 2x
    Fritzie Zivic 2x
Henry Armstrong (they fought in 1943, his prime was around 1937-40)

I was thinking 5 years after. Say a fighters prime was in 2000 , if you beat him between 2000-2005 it qualifies.

But whichever way you wanna do it it's fine.

I enforced the stipulation to ensure bouts against fighters that were way past their prime were not included and any of those guidelines you mentioned achieve this

Some many be surprised but Floyd mayweather jr. has one of the best resumes of this era and of any fighter in history past the age of 30.

Here are his wins over (future) Hall of Fame fighters:

In their prime: diego corrales, ricky hatton, jose luis castillo, marquez, judah (borderline HOF)

Past their prime: genaro hernandez, de la hoya, cotto, gatti

That's a sign of the era, not how good his resume is.

He has a great resume compared to the average fighter, but compared to other all-time greats, it is on the weaker side
