Any fighter that you feel would be able to beat Floyd, or would be favourite over Floyd at 130? Boxer has to be pre 1990.

Perhaps Arguello, he would be the fighter I spontaneous give the best chances to beat Floyd at SFW...

I'd say Chavez. Arguello would have a chance and was a greater fighter IMO but I think Floyd's style was wrong for him.

I'd also go with Canzoneri, Saddler and Armstrong (never fought at the weight I don't think, but could have).

I always hear Duran's name come up on this topic.

    At least at LW.

Oh yeah, Duran as well. Can't think of any more who would, really.

    Camacho
    Arguello
    Chavez
    Nelson

Are the guys I give the best shots. I wouldn't neccessarily favor any of them, but I'd have them about even bets, maybe Floyd a slight favorite over a couple.

On a given day; Brian Mitchell, Azumah Nelson, Julio Cesar Chavez, Alexis Arguello, Flash Elorde and of course Sandy Saddler spring to mind.

Duran at 130 loses to Floyd. At 135 and above, he wins.

    Interesting.

I'd hear a little bit more about why.

Because Duran at 130 wasn't the same Duran as at 135. In fact, a green Duran against Buchanan at 135 vs Floyd would be a very competitive fight as well. A prime Duran at 135 beats Floyd up though. At 130, Floyd was at his best, Duran was green. I think Floyd's speed and counter-punching would take the day against that young version of Duran.

I would give Arguello, Chavez, Nelson, and Camacho the best shots at beating Floyd, but I wouldn't pick any of them to win.
