Which fighters under 190 pounds would you give a decent chance of beating a prime 1992 Bowe ?

    If none, is there anyone 190 - 200 pounds you'd choose ?

None. Bowe's performance against a prime 205lbs Evander Holyfield says to me he beats any sub-190lbs fighter ever. JMO.

    Dempsey
Michael Spinks could beat him weighing less than 190
    Sam Langford
Perhaps Roy Jones Jr. (I'm not saying he'd definitely take this, I'm just saying Roy could take it on his best day.)

Holyfield handed the fight to Riddick when he slugged it out with him. Bowe struggled with mobility, that's no secret so I think even someone like Roy could beat him if he fought a disciplined fight. I mean Herbie Hide was giving it to Riddick pretty hard.

I think Ezzard could do it weighing less than 190.

Keep in mind I'm not saying Jones or Charles would be favored to beat Bowe, I'm just saying that they would stand a good chance to beat Bowe.

Fat Willie Meehan? 'Ears, I assume we are talking of a 4 rounder, in which case that bloated ex-flyweight is invincible. :rofl

Seriously, (and this probably deserves its own thread :yep), if Meehan had stayed at his lean weight - ie. gone on a diet, laid off the donuts, the greedy fat **** - he might well have been the GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL-TIME, POUND-FOR-POUND.

Look what he did, he's fighting about 14 divisions (in today's money) above his natural one - before the age of PEDs. He's horrendously out of shape.
But he's beating Langford, Dempsey and Dillon, and going the distance with Miske and Greb.
It's like Pacquiao giving up training completely, moving up to cruiserweight, and picking up belts or extending the champions in every division.

A 190lb Holyfield with the right gameplan and discipline could beat him imo A real slick mover, with speed, jab, chin maybe could do it - I thought Tubbs did it so maybe a Patterson, Jones Jr, Charles, Moore, Tunney. Charles and Patterson imo probably mixes it up too much though, Jones would get knocked out if/when Bowe catches up to him, Moore was also possibly a tad chinny, Tunney's low hands could see him knocked out quite easily too.

Dempsey, Langford and Marciano would fight Bowe's fight and get the Holyfield 1 treatment for their troubles. Bowe's in fighting, weight to push them back, outfighting would all prove to be too much to both of them

I'll thow in a wildcard outside shot of Johnny Nelson, with his speed, defense, jab and movement based off the Tubbs fight

I agree that Charles would have a pretty good shot.

Charles wouldn't have as much fun mixing it up with the 235lb Bowe, as he did with 185lb Marciano...

Throwing in Johnny Nelson would be an act of heinous cruelty. (I mean cruelty towards Nelson, in this instance ....... not the viewer. :D)
