Women's boxing in general, force fed, it's not something I would watch if it was just a womans card. So they stick these fights on between fights people actually want to watch and justify it that way. Don't misunderstand me, I rate Savannah Marshall and a couple of others, but the talent pool in women's boxing is so shallow, there are normally HUGE gaps between levels, from domestic to world level is shocking, and even then world level looks rather thin and poor.
The Charlos for sure. But that's the Fox PBC way of doing things (see my comment earlier about Joey Spencer) I'm not UK-based, but maybe somebody from there could weigh in on whether they think Connor Benn or Chris Eubank Jr falls into this group. And wasn't Audley Harrison given a £1 million deal with the BBC for their rights to televise his first few fights?
Next troll account clone. XX nicknames in internet forums about boxing, more than 10 I'm surebb? Dumabss bum poster. Dumbass, Lewis too was a bum? Bum are you! and Vitali fought everyone he he been given to fight with cos he was a prizefighter not a bum in internet like you are.
The most obvious example from recent times is Ryan García. I was utterly disgusted to hear commentators repeat the mantra 'pretty boy with bad intentions' during the Campbell fight. They were praising him even when he didn't do anything. Even in the same round when he got dropped hard.
Conelo. He's one of if not the most manufactured boxer of all time. And commentators + boxing "analysts" ignore the blatant shady **** from Canelo in almost every fight
I used to say that he was one of those guys who had no apparent ability at all. He has grown on he a bit, but what modest success he has had has come though a good chin and some determination.
I never liked De La Hoya, and yes, he needed questionable judging to be Quatey, and outright robbery to beat Whitaker.
I think it's disgraceful that women's boxing has been attached to men's boxing. The amateur tournaments have been streamlined to cater for women and girls, with male boxers missing out. And now the professional shows are being padded with women's boxing. I'd be all for it if they ran their own amateur tournaments and professional circuit seperate from the men.
Benn and Eubank actually haven't been, strangely enough. With Eubank it's mostly because he's not with Hearn.
