Which fighters won the championship with least experience?

    It was Pete Rademacher the 1956 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist.

    Yeah, I know both guys were experienced MT fighters by then (Veeraphol looked anything but a 4 fight novice against Chuvatana), but they were worth a shout after seeing guys with extensive amateur backgrounds like Rigo being mentioned.

    That being said I can't really think of a guy without much actual ring experience winning a title quick, maybe Qawi? from prison to champ in 18 fights.

    How about that Scottish guy who won a title in his 5th or 6th fight?

    Paul Weir? Not a bad shout at all. 6th bout, something like 27th round as a professional and he was just 21 years old I think.

    Davy Moore only had 12 fights when he became champ and then Duran ruined him lol
