Divverelli, why come into classic of all places and comment on things you clearly only have a very rudimentary knowledge of?

There is actually a fair bit of Kenny floating on the net, I suggest going back and reviewing it all...not just a few rounds..thats a poor effort.

Camacho's movement in the Chavez fight was not even impressive for a straight out runner..he spent much of the fight walking away from Julio and retreating directly back to the ropes..he was a sitting duck essentially.
You could have used a better example than that..as 130-135 Camacho was clearly more fleet of foot.

Chavez looking more fluid than Duran under any circumstances is hard to imagine, but I get what you're saying.

Seeing as I was talking about Chavez and Cervantes you've got little to worry about.

Yeah, I don't think you can make a good case for a 1992 Camacho being more fleet footed than a prime Ken Buchanan Vlade.

I mean, let's face some facts: that Camacho even YEARS before he faced Chavez was getting chased down and beat to the body and scraping out rounds against a post-prime Mancini and a post-prime Haugen.

Duran WOULD literally kill that Camacho. There's simply nothing to suggest otherwise if those level fighters are giving Camacho all he could handle.

Bottom line is Duran could be lax, but he could also beat the **** out of movers when he was up for the challenge and in the right frame of mind.

Duran having issues with movers is a myth concocted by those who have seen his 'big fights', aka his 80's fights and nothing of 70's Duran, where he was actually in his prime and gave a toss about being in shape and fighting.

Wow, to call Buchanan fleet footed, I just dont see that at all.

Being a good boxer does'nt make you fleet of foot. Greg Haugen and Carlos Baldomir were pretty good boxers, but fleet of foot??? No way!

Ali, Camacho, Hearns, Pedroza, Whitaker, Michael Nunn........just to name a few, these are the quick, fast, fleet footed types that offer movement.
    Buchanan???? Are you guys serious?

There was a fleet footed defensive type fighter that John Garfield has talked about that Duran could'nt touch in sparring, I forget his name but some of you here in the classic should know? Who was that fighter?

one guy I do not see Chavez stopping the way Duran stopped him was Cuevas in 1983. Duran was a big enough guy and could still punch at 154 regardless of what his fans say when they try to make him this little guy. Duran could knock out a guy 175 if he landed his right hand.

Ofcourse he could still punch. He knocked out cuevas and moore.

He certainly wasn't as good a fighter as he was when he was a 70's lightweight.

Yeah, I dont think Chavez knocks out Moore or knocksdown Barkley at 154 lbs either! :nut:nut:nut
:roflSeriously, to have to go up to 154 lbs to find opponents of Duran Chavez may have not done well against! :nut

Its like arguing who was better Duran or Leonard, and have to go to 168 lbs pointing to that "I dont think Duran stop Lalonde the way Leonard did either."

I think Duran had more one punch power than Leonard. That Lalonde fight was interesting. He had Lalonde exhausted from getting him down to 168 and he cannot land a finishing punch. The one which knocked Donny down was hit on the break. I always thought Duran's power at the higher weights is why he could compete there. By the way I love your picture. Genaro was a great guy
