Which fights AT 160 lbs do you want GGG to participate in?

Cotton v Canelo winner.

Lee v Saunders winner.

Quillian v Jacobs winner then move up.

 

if hes going to defend about 5 times more (given hes 34 that's about right for his style, 2 more years, 2 a year plus a finale) I would like to see -

1. 2 tough fight, hopefully cotto and/or quillin
2. 2 middlers, including a brit again so we get to see him fight I England.
3. one weaker opponent to break up the above or as a swansong.


the question is getting past cotto and quillin IF they happen, I don't think the next tier down are going to be a serious threat.

 

Canelo/Cotto winner (not gonna happen, belt will be vacated)
Lee/BJS winner (might very well happen)
Eubank Jr (just to see the look on Sr's face)
Quillin/Jacobs winner (not gonna happen, kiddy belt will be milked dry + Haymon and HBO don't mix)
Johnson (for being his mando for IBF, I believe)

There's another problem MW's face when they sign for a fight with Golovkin.
Once they sign, they're instantly labeled "bums", whatever they've done before. They will be called bums in the leadup to the fight, during the fight and after the fight. After that they must live out their careers being called "one of GGG's bum opponents"

please tell me, what are Quillin's best wins/performances. now compare those to a "bum" like Lemieux.

Lemieux has multiple losses for starters,. Why you call him a bum, are you offended by something I said?


don't be offended that quillins record is a little better than Lemieux's, I am a 3g fan you know, I want him to achieve the top level at MW and hold it.

 

it isn't. he has the same names as best wins, he could well have had a loss against Lee (the Alcine was actually scored for Lemieux by most watching), and has never faced such a puncher as 2011 Rubio, and certainly not at the young age of 22.

Also Lemieux did better overall against the same opponents, and I called him a bum because of my earlier post. Just to be clear, I think he's a top3 MW still.

They are all bums. Get rid of MW and move some SMW and others to JrMW. GGG should be fighting Kovalev, Ward and Stevenson.

I agree hes protected, but the same can be said of 3G until his last 2 fights.
