to be honest I don't know much about him, I'm watching that documentary on him called The Ring of Fire, I'd like to learn more about him. What are the best fights to watch of him?
First fight with Benvenuti was good and a FOTY for Ring magazine. Obviously the Benny Paret fights. Fight with Rubin Carter to see him get stomped I suppose... Dick Tiger fight was good though Tiger was full of cancer. Ring of Fire was very good.

After that, I'd suggest seeking out his fights with Gaspar Ortega(the rematch) and Yama Bahama, which probably represent his peak. His most thrilling fight is, ironically, also his most difficult to watch - the 3rd with Paret.

the fights vs Ortega......but I can´t remember now which of their fights impressed me most, I or II......As far as I remember was the first.....
I still think the 1st Tiger fight..in which Emile annexed the middleweight title...was one of his unsung best fights...and significantly, it was a jump of a whole weight class from welter to middle...no "junior" half step..and Griff was outweighed by 10 lbs. He proved that he could outstrength the Tiger man at times and fought a smart, neat and disciplined boxing game that night...and contributed to night's hignlight...a short, chopping right counter that sent tiger to the deck for the first time in his career. No mean accomplishment...and though the decision was close..real close...Griffith deserved it IMO. Watch the damned fight Tommy!! it's my favorite Griffith fight.
