It's baffling to me that still people diss Evans that much. He's not even one of my favorite fighters. But with this guy it seems that everyone is always expecting him to lose for some odd reason. Yet, the Machida fight aside, he keeps winning to prove everyone wrong. Talk about not getting the respect you deserve.

I don't think you can put Shogun in the 'next generation'. His best days were in PRIDE. He's Old Guard.

Perhaps 'Seasoned Pro' would have been a better term but the oldies all started pre 2000 so he's fine where he is imo

A toss up between A or B but I would go B as mention just for the potential of Shogun Lil Nog 2.

I hear ya. I think it's because he has shown vulnerability. I feel he is a little overrated also actually. I think Rampage and Hendo, if they are in top shape and motivated, would both knock him out. I think Shogun knocks him out as well. Machida already did.

As I posted in another thread, the last 3 guys he fought with any sense of stand-up all hurt him and had him almost out. (Machida/Silva/Page) Silva hurt him in the last round I believe, Page was gassed and couldn't finish and Machida did finish. I think evans looked AWESOME against Tito and Davis, but those two guys are extremely one dimensional, and Tito's one dimension is not even that good anymore.

Alot will be revealed about Rashad in this fight with Jones. Even in a loss, he can possibly put the doubters to rest by performing well.
