    Can you elaborate on some examples perhaps ?


    Generally in my opinion, a top amateur cannot be a total "flop" as a pro , as they have such solid credentials ingrained that this could never be the case.

    However certainly some guys could not live to their expectations of their amateur success. Recent ones could be for example: Audley, Jirov and Solis.

    Good enough ?

    If your not calling Amir Khan a flop as a pro, than you shouldn't call Mark Breland one either.
    Big things were expected from both of them and neither lived up to those expectations. However they both have had very good pro careers.
