There is no such thing as safety first, or safety minded. In the ring, you are looking out for your own safety lol... Which Floyd will show up? The same old Floyd who always shows up. The 41-0 Floyd lol...

He'll take advantage of his length, get Pacquiao's timing and counter him to death worse than Marquez. It will be a one sided fight unless Pacquiao can hurt him...which I doubt.

Roach tried to get Void to fight Pac before the Cotto fight, but Void ran. Pac/Void fight could have happened but Void wanted to change boxing rules to get out of fight. Void, Sr. let the cat out of the bag.

Floyd would duck the Teflon Don.Try again.

I don't think he would exchange with Manny the way he did with Mosley. He'd probably try it for a little bit after he felt him out for the first 3 rounds and decide if he was in any danger. If he didn't feel like exchanging,he'll go into stick and move mode and probably stay that way.

Every fight they've both done has had a reason.Marquez/PBF not so much. But Pac/Clottey was so he can show he has a high enough work rate that he can crack a high defense. It may not have impressed too many people but it served it's purpose.Floyd fought Mosley to counter and show his high guard works perfectly fine.Even though he could have kept using his shell when he slammed Mosley with that counter right when he kept reaching in,he didn't to prove a point.

If Mayweather really plans on making a statement,I think he'll legitimately try and knock Manny out.

Floyd will fight the same way from the start, meaning probe first and try everything and see which gives him the best chances against the opponent. Floyd trying to walk down Pacquiao is a possibility, but unlike the Pacquiao in the first Morales fight, Manny now has better balance, two hands and improved counterpunching skills.

Floyd will probably find out Pacquiao is a whole different beast altogether than Shane Mosley, because once he jabs and tries to walk Manny down he gives away openings that PacMan will only be too happy to oblige punching at. Floyd has perfect textbook punch anticipation coupled with fast reflexes, but what Pacquiao will threaten him with aren't going to be from these textbook punching techniques.

It's a bit overstated, but at the same time it's the truth. Pacquiao will be throwing these wild-looking crunchers that as they say, opponents could not see coming. Will Floyd be able to adjust in time to avoid getting floored early? If he doesn't he better believe he'll be in a world of hurt like never before.

nice post! I think floyd will win this fight with his much better footwork..i notice how u said manny has improved footwork and your right..he does...but floyds is over the top by far and he will control the tempo of the fight..

I believe its manny who has to watch out more for floyds counterpunching...floyd also has to watch out for it but manny isn't the greatest counterpuncher at all..not saying he isnt good..but it mos def is not his specialty

That wasn't a "new" floyd. Thats how he fought against Judah as well, and also he stood right in front of Oscar for a good part of the fight.

The Pac fight will go very similar. Floyd will feel him out, then stand right in front of him and land at will. Pac's output will drop drastically and he will look lost when he realizes, Floyd isn't scared of him and is there countering and making him miss with everything.

This fight will be very anti-clamatic

manny may not be as good as floyd in counterpunching but he has a workrate that floyd may have troubles dealing with. pac is quick too so this fight is 50/50.
