Many past heavyweights were no bigger than todays light heavyweights. They were not heavyweights by todays standards so obviously that is going to impact fight dynamics. The failures of cruisers against contemporary giants like Vitali or Wlad have little brearing on how they do against smaller past champs

Walcott lost a third of his fights so I would expect plenty of cruiserweights to beat him given who he lost to in real life.

Plenty of fighters rehydrate 20 pounds. Given prime Sanders was as low as 220 he could likely make cruiserweight without much trouble.

In a recent fight a super middleweight reportedly rehyrdated to 193 a 25 pound increase

    But most rehydrate 10-15

We know he wouldn't because people have been rehydrating that much for decades, Tarver was enormous. Same day weight ins stopped a while back. It's a non point because Sanders fought modern day super heavyweights he wasn't fighting in the 60s

Tommy Hearns beat Roldan to win the WBO title, Eubank sr beat Nigel Benn who beat Barkley to win the WBO title, which IBO champ has beat fighters of that quality? Morrison was far better than any IBO champ, Mercer had a proven chin at heavyweight why Jai doesn`t, could he really take the shots from Morrison that Mercer took, Naz Hamed was another WBO champ which is what put that title on the map in the 90`s.

He doesn`t punch harder than Hide or Morrison did and he isn`t quicker than Hide was, I think that would have been at good fight at cruiser or heavyweight.

Except we don't in Sanders day cruiser was 190, the raising of the limit to 200 would make it far easier to make weight. Regardless Sanders is clearly not significantly bigger than Okolie or Riakpore who both campaigned extensively at cruiserweight. So him being a heavy shouldn't be an issue

Except we did cruiser being larger today doesn't change 6'4 225lb Sanders fighting at heavyweight when SHWs were everywhere. There are heavyweights as big as Sanders today so why would he be at cruiser ? You're leaping based off nothing

Size isn't the issue it's Sanders speed and power and Jai as good as he is hasn't beat anyone outside of old Briedis. He could definitely beat Sanders, but wheres the resume ? Why wouldn't Sanders demolish everyone ?

    Fair enough lol.

I'll hold my hands up I dislike Joshua too much to be completely objective on him which is why I don't bet on him.

I said he's a favorite based on track record I still think Dubois has faced much better competition lately.

Sanders was above 220 for most of his career mostly weighing in at the high end of 220s. You're crazy if you think Sanders makes Cruiserweight.

Nothing crazy about a 220 pound guy dropping to 200 and rehydrating to 220, happens all the time. Also Sanders was carrying excess fat for some of his fights and clearly capable of slimming down
