Ali has like 30 wins over top 10 ranked opposition.
    Tremendous resume to boot.

    He isn't overrated.

I used to call him that but then I realized just how much ranked contenders he beat.
    More than Duran and Mayweather.

I guess Muhammad Ali is a reasonable answer if we're including about "flaws" and "limitations" OUTSIDE the boxing ring.
Seeing as many (perhaps most) of the people who worship him are otherwise usually 100% against of much of what he stood for, there's a hell of a lot of "glossing over" going on there.

INSIDE the ring Muhammad Ali's "flaws" and "limitations" might well be ignored by a great many of his fans but I don't think necessarily significantly.
I mean, for example, it's true that he wasn't quite as hard to hit as the hyperbole makes out, and wasn't always quite as dominant in some of the fights they say he was, but he's closer to that ideal than the likes of Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson in the eyes of their foremost fanatics.

In the Joe Louis era, they had no "Top 10". It was like 1950's Oklahoma American football in the Big 8 Conference: "Oklahoma and the Seven Dwarfs".

I think that Vitally Klitschko's fans are the only ones who can’t accept that their fighter actually lost.

From John L. Sullivan to Jack Johnson to Jack Dempsey to Ali to Vlad Klitschko....everyone has bias and favorites even if they are well versed at giving their argument, its all speculation when dealing with era's...you can not go backwards and you can not go forward. The great dominating figures of their era are the great ones because they beat the best of there era...the rest is guesswork although some here have a better argument and writing skills than others.

Tyson? As in Tyson Fury? Mike Tyson gets the underrated treatment, mostly.

I would say Wlad, or better yet Vitali. 97% of their fans are millennials or younger. Not saying their age factor itself is a bad thing, only the shallow thinking young uns who haven't explored the division's historical greats in proper context.

The charge is more justifiable when levelled at the fans of some fighters than others.

If somebody has an unusually high opinion of Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali, then at least the fighter has the real world results to theoretically back it up.

If it is somebody like Dempsey, Tyson, or the Klitschko's, then there are significant problems with their resume that the fan is probably not coming to terms with.

What's wrong with Mike Tyson's resume, compared to, say someone like Marciano or Holmes?

The problem is his spectacular implosion, which started very close to his peak.

Now granted Marciano and Holmes have their own problems, but you don't need to make many excuses for them.
