I know he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but do u honestly believe that he could have beaten any FWs in history?

He had a few performances where he certainly looked beatable..I think guys like Pedroza and Marcel are hell for him aswell. At the same time those guys had some peformances where I could defintely see Sanchez knocking them off.

Sal is up at the tippy top of the H2H ladder at feather...not many are knocking him off and I reckon they need him to be having an off night for it to happen.

I know that I will catch some crap for this but i think it needs to be said. His notable wins, Red Lopez, Gomez (overconfident/smaller), Nelson (13 fights and gave him hell). The man died so young that we will never know how good he could have been. I'm not impressed with his skills but I am impressed with his conditioning. I have not seen one fight where Sal was even close to looking winded, I've been following boxing for over 30 years and I can't think of a boxer with better conditioning.

I do believe that some of the recent mexican FW (Erik Morales comes to mind) could have beaten him

Not really sure, but any ****ing club fighter could beat his scrub ass nephew. That kid really needs to reassess his life and career choice.

You sure you've been watching boxing for 30 years? As good as Morales was, he was several notches below Sanchez.

You forgot to mention his wins over Juan LaPorte and Ruben Castillo. You have to remember he was only 23 at the time of his death. He accomplished a lot during his pre-prime years. On the flip-side of that, his prime, IMO, wouldn't have lasted too long. Reason being is that he already had some 35+ fights at 23 years of age. I could see him burning out by the time he was 29-30, if not earlier.

Yes I'm sure. Now help me see how Salvador was so superior besides his conditioning. Who were the greats that he beat? Morales several notches below
Salvador? In what part of his game was he notches above Morales? Salvador never had the chance to show how good he might have been. We will never know.

Well when you make comments like "Who were the greats he beat?" it makes me wonder what you were watching and for how long.

Sanchez had a better jab, better footwork, better boxing ability, was more accurate, and had the ability to stay with a game plan when fighting a war unlike Morales.

Morales would go **** crazy when in a war and it almost cost him dearly in his first fight with Barrera. And one has to recognize that although switching to lefty against PacMan in their first encounter was an outright bad ass move, it wasn't even remotely close to being a wise move. Morales' right hand also wasn't a thing of beauty. It wasn't a "right down the pipe" type of punch. It was sort of an overhand right that didn't generate a lot of power, which is pretty obvious.

Anyhow, Sal Sanchez is > than Morales in my book.

A FW Pacman is nowhere near what he is right now and u know it.

Sanchez would dominate Pacman worse than Marquez did and knock em out in 7 rounds or less.

Sanchez would be an awful match up for pac...

But to answer the topic: Pep, Arguello, Saddler, Armstrong, and maybe Kid Chocolate. Sanchez is above the rest.
