I'll name mine: Pernell Whittaker! I don't deny his talent for a minute, but I find him frustrating to watch. The worst of it is, he does what your'e supposed to do; hit and not get hit, but I find him awful to watch.

Mayweather is similar for me; a fantastic boxer, but I still want him to get floored. Maybe it's because I like punchers and it's an irrational bias? Which top fighters do you rate but hate?

Locche. Absolutely unwatchable to me. He's more circus clown than fighter.

    Oh, and any heavyweight.

When I saw your question, the first name I thought of was Whittaker without even seeing what you said. I'm not crazy about southpaws to begin with (don't know why, I'm just not) and his style just bored me to tears. HOF fighter for sure, just not my cup of tea

I have to agree. I grew up watching a lot of his fights on HBO in the late 80's and early 90's and as much as I have all the appreciation in the world for his achievements, I've always found him kinda dull to watch. Of course I'd pick him to beat plenty of men who were much more exciting but still.

I'm old. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this was "Patterson."

Guess we're both old, cause Patterson was the first guy who came to my mind as well.

In the mid 90's there was a poll in Ring Magazine that asked journalists or experts if they would prefer to watch a 12 round masterclass by Whitaker or two club fighters slug it out. Ended 50/50 I think, with the feeling that most people lied who picked Whitaker.

    I love watching Whitaker!

Then again I love watching Canto.

Sandy Saddler isn't exactly easy on the eye.

Any of the really really old black and white guys, Corbett, Ketchel, Fitzsimmons, anything where the quality is low.
