Watching Sammy Angott + Bernard Hopkins was on the list of the recent C.I.A torture methods

Or thereabouts..........there's no "hard date" where I lose interest, but yeah.

SRL. Wouldn't go as far as say "hard to watch" but I'm not a big fan of his style.

Oh, if someone had that on I could sit and watch and appreciate, sure. I just would never think to seek out anything like that.

Maybe it's because there's just so much yet to watch in my existing era of interest.

I'm not old at all and I thoroughly enjoy watching the older fights for that very reason. However, I do have a difficult time watching some of the pre 1930ish stuff, because of the poor video quality.

Benny lynch who won the title in 1935 had a beautiful bouncy style that still looks great today.the way he bounced from one foot to the other in an and out of range was sheer poetry and his slashing left hook floored many a great fighter.
I'd say that boxers from the 30s onward are when the techniques came on.its either that or the films are better quality ???

Wlad sure isn't easy on the eyes. Neither is the MW version of him ;) - Monzon. No doubt about their effectiveness, though.

Oh, Marciano doesn't do much for me either. And not many pre 30's fighters, really.

Pre 50's :think Benny Lynch was amazing to watch at his best.
There's not much footage but Gans looks amazing from the little I've seen.
