Actually, I believe that Lennox Lewis would have been the ultimate problem for any of them...a focused, in shape Lewis, to be fair to Lewis.

How can you go wrong with Ali? I think he's the least likely to lose to other greats. But then McVey might have a different interpretation in mind, I don't know. If he intended to ask which heavyweight in history would make all others look bad, then my answer would be the spoiler, Jersey Joe Walcott.

Yeah, I have to go with Ali also. It can't be from bias...Frazier is my favorite heavyweight....Wait...maybe, in away that could be from bias. :think I would be tempted to have Louis and Holmes just after, jointly at 2. There are guys I feel could stop Louis, but would get out-pointed by Holmes or Ali (like Foreman), and guys I believe Louis could stop that Ali and Holmes probably wouldn't, when in their primes (like Frazier), who might be stylistically bad for Ali and Holmes.

Quite prohibitive too is Lewis' bulk, obviously. I agree with the choice. He has that rare combination that makes less than great fighters look far worse than they really are.

    60-40 against Lewis

    65-35 against Holmes

    3. Lennox Lewis ('97 McCall II to '00 Tua).

    40-60 against Ali & Tyson

55-45 against Holy (50-50 against version from Bowe II)

    70-30 against Holmes

    4. Evander Holyfield ('90 Buster to '93 Bowe II).

I think Holmes and Lewis are about even. I think Holmes is the one who is less likely to have a bad day that´s why he is higher.

I think Lewis is a bad match-up for Holmes.

Imagine what a prime Larry Holmes would have done against Mercer and McCall (guys Lewis lost/struggled with).
Holmes had some weak opposition is his own prime time but I have to assume he was a lot better than Lewis.

I think that could very well balance out with Lewis ripping through some of the guys Larry had trouble with, bringing to the table different faults and different strengths. Perhaps not completely balance out but make it quite close.

If we are comparing difficulty to other champions posed with actual ATG great ranking, then i think that Prime Riddick Bowe would be very tough for anyone to beat.

I also agree with the calls made for Lennox Lewis. He is a big problem for anyone, and capable of beating anyone.

Apart from the Big Two it's Sonny Liston and I think it's obvious personally.

The only person Liston loses to is Ali and possibly Louis.

Sonny Liston would destroy Iron Mike, as would Foreman. Ali would stop him late as would Louis.
