As of right now, I’ve been real interested in Greb and are about to buy a book about him. But I don’t know which to buy.
There’s Bill Paxton book on Harry Greb, but Klompton and a few others said that it is heavily filled with misinformation. And another one is Springs Toledo’s book. Smokestack Lightning. And it helps that some of people calls him the best boxing writer of our time. Another one is Klompton’s book on him, Live Fast and Die Young. Which somebody actually recommended to me.
And supposedly, this is the most informational book on Greb.

And so, can anyone please tell me which to buy? Sorry for the long text.

Pass on the Paxton book. I actually gave mine away. Didn't care for it. Mistakes throughout and even repeated the Greb Walker street fight myth. If u want the full story it's Live fast die Young

    Hi Buddy.
Just as well James Fair " Give him to the Angels " was not mentioned, more of a comic really, I have read all the books there is on Greb, and far and away Klomptons is the best, by a country mile, the research he must have done to complete this book beggars belief, and the illustrations are the best I have ever seen, at least 50% I had never seen before remarkable feat, believe me you will not put the book down, a tour de force of writing.
    stay safe matey, chat soon.

I've read Smokestack, and it's incredible. Easily doable in one sitting, but incredible writing.

I've never read Live Fast and Die Young, but Klompton is one helluva poster, I'm sure it's excellent as well.

Live Fast Die Young by Steve Compton is the one to beat.
