Since they were both light middleweights and Duran was world champ...obviously Duran.

Both were great victories for Hearns. I was more impressed (and surprised) by the Duran KO.

Hearns was a natural light middle at his peak and Duran was a lightweight you ****ing idiot!

My bad, I thought Duran had knocked out Davey Moore for the LMW belt.

How is a KO of an over the hill lightweight by perhaps the greatest light middle ever, greater than a KO of one of the longest reigning welters by another welter...

    So?
Memorable doesn't equal greater or most impressive

So by doing that he was a LMW belt holder. He was the beat LMW opponent Hearns could face at that time.

Was Cuevas the best WW he could face?

None of this is relavant...historically the Cuevas KO is greater by far

So beating a higher ranked, superior skilled, established ATG for the undisputed championship isn't relevant?

    Ok thanks.

Cuevas because up to that moment Cuevas was a force of destruction whereas Duran already had his highs and lows.

Moore isn't exactly relevant, no. He wasn't the calibre of Duran, Hearns, it even Cuevas.
See Robert's post and read mine again.
Career welter/light middle vs career welter/light middle or absolute prime light middle vs lightweight (who was good post welterweight but not great).

Good Duran is still better than the very best version of Cuevas.
