Muhammad Ali, and second place is a very, very distant one.

    Define a "banger".

I have no idea about this, and this is a thumbsuck, but I bet Wlad faced the most guys that could be defined as "punchers". Peter, Sanders, Puritty, Brewster, Chagaev, Pulev, Povetkin, Wach, Haye, Rahman and Mercer off the top of my head could all hit darn hard.

Holmes has gotta be somewhere up there.. He fought Tyson, shavers, C00ney, Weaver, Witherspoon, Berbick, Snipes, Tiger Williams, Smith, Bey, Mercer, Holyfield and probably a few I've left off.. Ali has to be close too with Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Shavers, Lyle, M. Foster, Chuvalo, etc... Both guys also fought Norton but weather or not he was a "banger" is subject to debate.

I would also be remiss in leaving out Lebbox Lewis who fought Rudock, Mason, Morrison, Weaver, Grant, Golata, Briggs, Tua, V. Klitscko, Tyson, Holy, Bruno etc.. In fact Lewis probably wins it

ALI! Assuming you include rematch especially it isn't close.
I constantly go back and forth who is the goat between Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis and after considering this question I am currently going Muhammad Ali.

Jersey Joe Walcott fought a lot of bangers

    Joe Louis 2x
    Rocky Marciano 2x
    Elmer Ray 3x
    Tommy Gomez
    Lee Q Murray
    Hatchetman Shepherd
    Abe Simon
    Tiger Jack Fox 2x
    Joe Baksi
    Lorenzo Pack
    Hein Ten Hoff

    Worth a mention

Lewis Ali takes it though quite clearly
