Immediately after the FOTC, Ali readily admitted that his pre-exile self would have been "whipped quicker" by Frazier that night!

Ali admitted his 1971 version was stronger and tougher than his pre-exile version.

It is on youtube. It has been posted here.

But some here don't want to talk about it, or pretend it didn't happen, or rationalize it with nonsense that Ali was just being a good sport, lol.

It was only after his handlers and media myth machine enablers got to him that Ali changed his tune and said he actually won the fight, wasn't ready, too long a layoff, yada yada, yada.

And for the pollyannas that actually think that '64-'67 Ali dances and moves the entire 15 rounds with prime Frazier, it WOULDN'T HAPPEN.

Frazier cut off the ring and forced Ali to fight, unlike anyone else that Ali ever faced.

And the Ali of '64-'67 would definitely have had more difficulty dealing with Frazier's inside game than the stronger, more mature '71 Ali did.

I can see a young ali struggling with frazier. A prime Joe would be a scary guy for any one to take on. I don't hand on heart really no how it would have gone but frazier definitely not a massive under dog In my eyes. Yes Ali is grease fast but frazier gets warmed up he's in your face.

Early in fight 2 Ali was able to dance, move and keep Joe looking for him. I would imagine that the younger version of Al could do this pretty well at least for awhile. At the same time I agree that Joe applies so much pressure and he would probably force Al to come down off his toes and fight by the mid rounds.

Which heavy could have beaten Ali from April 67-Sept. 70? And let's not forget the Era factor folks.
