Holmes won the WBO title at 42 but that organisation wasn`t as established in the early 90`s as it is now and nobody considered Mercer the real world champ at the time as Holy was considered the undisputed champ at that time till Bowe defeated him, could any heavyweight from now on win a heavyweight title after the age of 40?

Wlad came within a whisker of beating AJ at the age of 41 and very likely would've had he put his foot on the gas when he had him in big trouble.

Povetkin iced Whyte out cold a few weeks before his 41st birthday, with a bit of good fortune Whyte could've been the WBC champ. If a bum like The Tuscaloser can win a world title then Whyte is more than capable of doing so, hence why The Tuscaloser wanted nothing to do with him and ducked him for over 1000 days.

Even Old Man River Ortiz was schooling The Tuscaloser's ass badly in both their fights prior to his old man chin and gas tank letting him down and he had him in big trouble in their first fight when the bell and Haymon's henchmen came to his rescue. So that's three off the bat right there.

When Fury is 45 he will be 7'2" and 320 pounds

A totally unstoppable wall of a man

    Opponents will surrender

Larry Holmes never won the WBO title. Ray Mercer vacated it to fight Holmes. Mercer was supposed to fight Moorer, the WBO's mandatory. He dropped the belt and chose Holmes instead.

Foreman was 45 (two months shy of his 46th birthday) when he knocked out Moorer.

I can't see any of the current heavyweights REGAINING a heavyweight title in the mid 2030s. Or, in Joseph Parker's case, 2038.

It was a huge accomplishment by Foreman.

We dont really know how the current heavyweights will age or what their competition will be. We've seen guys like Wlad and Pov get close in their 40s and Ortiz in his 50s so I dont think it's a feat that will never be duplicated or anything.

I honestly believe Wlad will be back to try and break the record. He’s hinted at it a few times and he takes excellent care of himself. I don’t know if he will break it because his chin is not the greatest and the older he gets the more stationary he will become. But hey you never know.

I think this too but I don’t think Wlad will come back and fight ‘the’ Champion. I think he comes back and fights a beltholder.

Povetkin or Wlad would still have a shot against anyone not named Fury.

    Most likely.
Not to take anything away from Foreman, but c'mon this was Moorer, a former LtHW title holder who settled in as a modest sized ~220# HW*
He got lazy/ careless and walked into a straight right from GF. It was a high end accomplishment for Foreman mainly given his age.

    * until his comeback as a fatso

He wouldn`t have been a champ in this era in his prime anyway.

Who`d want to fight him though, and look at the situation AJ, Fury and mandatories are in not to mention the Wildder situation, where would Wlad fit into to all that?
