I'm an Ali man, but Frazier is a great, deserves his accolades. It's a sad world where our greats lose their later years' health for our enjoyment and the public forgets them at the next social media viral phase.

 

Frazier lost his money and ended up poor living by himself above his gym which was also closed down. He only had his children since his wife divorced him. I know that Marvis moved out of Philly but not sure if the rest of his kids are still there. He eventually did get his own statue but a little too late. The worst feeling may have been him forgotten except by boxing fans while your bitter rival continued to be revered well past retirement.

 

His daughter became a lawyer. I'm sure that was a source of pride.

 

When Sugar Ray Robinson was dying of Alzheimer's Disease Muhammad Ali and Bundini Brown visited him. Ali told Bundini that will be me some day. I thought that was poignant. When Bundini fell and was in a Los Angeles hospital and was in a halo and dying Ali told him he would soon be in Heaven and see Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson and he would be joining him some day. That was poignant. Ali's final years must have been awful. Davis Miller said Ali hadn't spoken for the last three years of his life.
