lewis does have a better resume than holyfield. pretty much everyone here agrees as well. get out of here you knucklehead.
:good the people saying joe louis, are talking right out of their arse. his resume isn't that good. :deal
There's a video somewhere of Muhammad Ali paying homage to Jack Johnson where he admits Johnson was the Greatest...
We must remember that the past world champion didn't really fight the world. They fought other Americans and maybe a token Euro. How many Eastern Europeans did Ali fight?? How many Russians did Holmes fight? Louis fought one German and got his a$$ knocked out. Foreman fought one German and got his a$$ beat. Do I need to say more?
Joe Louis. 3 decades, tons of champions, never lost a rematch. EDIT: if bubby killed himself this forum would be better
From 1936 tull 150 he beat top fighters, and boxing had more competition then. Baseball was only othe rmajor sport in America. His dominting some guys made it look easy, but from Schmeling to Walcott, that's impresive. Sharkey, Baer, Nova, c'mon. Lewis fought a fat unwilling to give a fight Davis TYa--not impressive at all.
i made a thread about this a few months back. my opinion was lennox lewis but everyone ass raped me for it. now i have learned a bit about past heavyweights i have to say ali hands down. i dont think an argument can be made to be honest!
Liston took 1 dive but not at Ali's insistance. What is great for a resume is beating prime Foreman,Frazierx2,Quarryx2,Lyle,Shavers,Pattersonx2,Terrell and Young(now that may have been a robbery)
