with one punch? I mean the can turn a fight around with one punch. They dont have to be able to win that fight just change the fight with one punch.

Foreman of course would be my top person

The best example of a one punch turnaround in a fight is Marciano's one-punch stoppage of Walcott, who was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage.

    Isn't it?

George Foreman was not a one punch knockout artist in his prime. He never scored a 1 punch knockout for the 10 count over a top rated fighter in the 70s.

The answer to this thread is either Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano, or Joe Louis. All of these men scored devastating 1 punch knockouts over top rated men on film during there prime years. I would like to say Liston, but I cannot think of a fight on film where he scored a devastating one punch knockout over a top rated man(westphal is not applicable here though that was magnificent).

It's probably someone like Louis, if we're talking great fighters. When he landed clean a lot of the time the man went immediately unconscious, then fell.

Don't get caught up on 1 punch KO's. The thread is about the ability to change a fight with just 1 punch. Foreman did this constantly throughout his career.

    Joe Louis

Not the most powerful but the ability to change a fight with one punch was definitely there.

Rex Layne? 23 years old rated # 4 in the world and sported a respectable 34-1 (25) record. Layne entered the fight a 9 to 5 favorite.

Rex Layne wasnt a world class hall of fame fighter so knocking him out proves nothing and SusieQ i said heavyweight not cruiserweight. So no Rocky Marciano's, Jack Dempsey, or any other 180 pound fighters. I mean 200 plus pound heavyweights.

And Mcvey I mean Latino and Hispanic heavyweights. If you dont like what i post then why respond

Who did Louis knock out with a single punch? I'm not saying he didn't, but i can't think of any, off the top of my head. Of course, no heavyweight threw his punches as much in combinations as Joe did, so that makes it kind of hard to score a one punch KO.

Chris it is almost impossible to knockout a world class fighter with one punch but i said who could turn the fight around with one punch not who could knock out a fighter with one punch.

Maan was basically dead after that uppercut. Can't blame Joe for hitting him more afterwards!

James J Braddock World Heavyweight champion who had never been down for the 10 count. one right hand knocked him out cold

Paolino Uzcuden- Extremley durable contender flattened with one right hand

Lee Ramage- Top 10 Contender, one left hook left him crippled out cold

Johnny Pacheck- Out cold one right hand

Charlie Retlaff- Big powerful top 10 contender

Lee Savold- Durable top contender, flattened with one left hook

Also even though it was not a knockout 233lb Tony Galento was lifted in the air with one left hook. sending him on the canvas for the first time in his career.
