Larry Holmes and Muhammad Ali for me. They both had excellent jabs, good snap to them, good punch placement and in ALi's case, lightning quick.
Holmes. Terrific jab. He was on a British boxing show last year talking about his jab and he said that it was so quick and snappy because he wouldn't make a proper fist when throwing it. I'm surprised he managed to get good power into it.
Another excuses .... Klitschko destroy guy with 7 win streak, while Lewis go life and death with him and even lose to match, this was gift decision for him. Not to mention Rey come with draw and lose to this match .... Lennox was robbed against Holyfield, but was gifted against Rey.
Shannon Briggs is on a 7 fight win streak too, that doesn't mean he isn't shot to ****ing ****. Who did Mercer beat in those 7 fights? Absolutely nobody. Mercer was 41 years old, an alcoholic and had hepatitis. He was a shell.
But he still beat Lewis before this streak. I can simply say he was shot to death against Lewis as well. And after Lewis bout Mercer beat Witherspoon, who was on winning streak too. A lot of guys beat nobody but are hyped here, like Wilder for example ...
Exactly, only recognisable name in that 7 fight streak was in the very first fight against a 41 year old Tim Witherspoon, but of course according to Lordlosh because Witherspoon was only 41 and on an 8 fight winning streak, Witherspoon must have been in his prime or close to it.
You could say Mercer was shot but you'd be wrong he had just given Holyfield a tough fight who then was regarded as a top heavyweight and Mercer was only 34 not 41. If you really think 7 years wouldn't have made a difference then your bias has overridden any logic you possess. As for the Mercer/Lewis fight I had Lewis up 6 rounds to 4, in was competitive and close but Mercer simply didn't throw enough to win enough rounds. This fight was also in a tiny 18ft ring, unlike the usual 22ft ring Wlad likes to fight in, this forced Lewis to fight Mercer's fight and stand and trade and Lewis still won beating Mercer at his own game. The Wilder comparison is as ludicrous as the rest of your argument. Wilder is in is physical prime at 30, he's not 41 like Mercer was when facing Wlad. Next thing your going to tell me is a 42 year old Foreman was prime when he faced Holyfield because he was on a winning streak. :-(
