38 not 40? Wow you must really feel like you got an edge on this one.

Yes. he ko'd four handpicked tomato cans within a four year period, and that doesn't address your claim about proven increased stamina.

He took a lot of punishment... But It was a slow paced, low output effort by two washed up men and you make it sound like Ali vs Frazier.

Um.. that's because he Vitali had Briggs in front of him for 12 rounds... Lewis finished him in five.. Longer duration in fights tends to lead to worse beatings..

Yet you credit him as taking Foreman's best for 12 rounds now that it conveniences you.

I like both fighters Bowe and Vitali, and rank them very highly H2H.

Vitali is underestimated by many because of lack of great wins, but his resume isn't that bad.

He's 3-1 (3 ko) in WBO title fights and 12-1 (9 KO) in WBC title fights, not too bad.

Vitali's resume pre retirement - Herbie Hide 2 times WBO champ, Corrie Sanders WBO Champ, Kirk Johnson ranked HW contender, Larry Donald, 2 times challenger Vaughn Bean, Danny Williams, Puritty, Sullivan, and 2 undefeated fighters Hoffman and Mahone. Not so good but not bad, too.

His comeback impressed me much, one of the best comebacks of all time for sure.

He didn't beat great fighters like Ali did in his comeback, that's true.

But Vitali came back at 37, 4 years off the ring, stopped reigning WBC champion Peter in dominating performance, and defended in 9 times, all against much younger contenders except Briggs who is the same age.

So Vitali's comeback stats are 10-0 (7 KO) in WBC title fights, at age 37-41. He retired at 41 as reigning WBC champion. No controversial wins, all dominating performances.

Say what you want, call his opponents 'tomato cans', but that stats are quite impressive for a fighter that came back at 37 after 4 years off the ring.

Logic is a mental attribute, context is a grammatical term .
    You cannot possess it.:patsch

Briggs at the age of 26 gassed out?

Briggs showed zero heart ? He took monster right hands and hefty left hooks from Lewis, he displayed great heart .
They actually referred to it on the commentary.
Do you want to show me how the referee stopped the fight when Briggs sustained a cut eye as you said?
    The fight report below.
"Lewis floored Briggs twice in round four and once in round five.
Referee Frank Cappuccino stopped the fight in round five after Briggs missed with a left hook and fell face down. "

Have you actually watched the fight ?

    I certainly do

    You!!!!! You were toast!
You said Briggs had been fighting at the same top contender lever for 15 years he hadn't fought a contender for 3 years nor beaten one for 4. WRONG!

You said Briggs was stopped against Lewis on a cut eye.WRONG!

He was stopped on the deck after missing a punch on arising from a knockdown.

"Lewis floored Briggs twice in round four and once in round five.
Referee Frank Cappuccino stopped the fight in round five after Briggs missed with a left hook and fell face down. "
Pity you havent the guts to admit it.

If Im senile ,and I have just corrected you twice and blown your argument out of the water what does that make you.

We already went over this. Before Lewis Briggs had one title fight, between the Lewis and Vitali fights Briggs had 7.

    OMG:shock:
The dementia is really messing with you if you don't remember that I clarified I was talking about Lewis vs Klitschko fight not Briggs vs Lewis.

I'm absolutely speechless. Dude get your head checked. You have the memory of a goldfish.

I'm challenging you to prove it. Either put up or shut up. You just can't except the fact that their are others who have differing opinions to you and school you on a regular basis.

markclitheroe used to be on that alt accusation list of yours, is he now off it?

You stated categorically that Briggs had been meeting top level contenders prior to his fight with Vitali. That is false and I proved it, he hadnt met a contender in 3 years!. How many spurious title fights he had is immaterial.
Briggs only faced 6 rated boxers in his entire career.!
You stated categorically that Briggs was stopped on a cut eye against Lewis .That is false and I proved it.He was stopped on the floor by the referee waving the fight over ,You are not only too gutless to admit it, you are a liar too.

When I'm 90 I'll still be too smart for you DUMBO
